GLP-1 weight loss

Built for results that last

GLP-1 medication works with your body’s own fullness signals, so willpower isn’t the whole plan.

Appetite under control

GLP-1 medications act on the hormones that tell your brain you’re full. Many patients say the constant “food noise” gets quieter.

A simple weekly routine

One small injection a week, with step-by-step instructions. No daily pills or complicated schedules.

Dosing monitored by a board-certified medical practitioner

You start at a low dose that is increased gradually, based on how you respond and how well you tolerate it.

Support that continues

Check-ins, dose adjustments, and answers to your questions, so you’re never on your own during treatment.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Who can use AH WellnessMD?

Adults 18 and older who are located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Florida at the time of their consultation, and who can receive medication at an address in one of those states.

How do I know if I’m a candidate for GLP-1 weight loss?

Your practitioner decides after reviewing your questionnaire, including your weight and BMI, health history, current medications, and goals. Some conditions, such as a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN 2, pregnancy, or a history of pancreatitis, can make GLP-1 medication unsafe. Not everyone who applies will be prescribed medication.

Are compounded medications FDA-approved?

No. Compounded medications are prepared by a state-licensed pharmacy for an individual patient based on a prescription. The FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are dispensed. Your practitioner will explain why a compounded preparation is being recommended and will also discuss FDA-approved options.

When do I pay?

Submitting the questionnaire is free. You are asked to pay only after your information has been reviewed, we have spoken with you, and you have agreed to a treatment plan.

How quickly will I see results?

Many patients notice less appetite within the first few weeks. Weight change builds over months as your dose is gradually adjusted, at a pace your practitioner sets for you. Results vary from person to person.

What happens on the phone consultation?

After your questionnaire is reviewed, we call you at the number you provided. We go over your health history, whether treatment is appropriate, how dosing works, possible side effects, and costs, and we answer your questions. Please keep your phone nearby after you submit.

Important safety information

About compounded medications. Compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide offered through AH WellnessMD are prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies for individual patients. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved: the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness, or quality before they are dispensed. They are prescribed only when the treating practitioner determines that a compounded preparation is medically appropriate for you.

GLP-1 medications (semaglutide and tirzepatide). Do not use these medications if you or a family member have ever had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), if you have had a serious allergic reaction to either medication, or if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding. In animal studies these medications caused thyroid C-cell tumors; it is not known whether they cause these tumors in people. Possible serious side effects include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (especially with insulin or sulfonylureas), kidney problems related to dehydration, serious allergic reactions, vision changes in people with diabetic retinopathy, and mood changes or suicidal thoughts. The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal pain, which are most likely when the dose is increased. Tell your practitioner about every medication you take, including oral birth control, because these medications can change how other drugs are absorbed.

Results vary. Individual results depend on many factors, including diet, physical activity, and how consistently treatment is followed. Medication is one part of a treatment plan, not a guarantee of results. Not everyone who completes the questionnaire will be prescribed medication.
